Quantprove reads trade lists: one row per trade, as CSV, Excel, or an HTML report.
A screenshot, a scanned PDF, an empty file or a price chart export has no trades to read.
Export the trade history from your platform, fill in the template, or connect your broker.

Quantprove needs the numbers behind your trades: one row per trade with its date and result. A screenshot, a phone photo, or a scanned PDF only holds a picture of those numbers. Quantprove does not guess numbers from an image, because one misread digit would change your results.

Empty files and price data#

  • This file is empty (0 bytes): the download stopped before it finished. Download the file again from your platform and upload the new copy.
  • This is price data (candles): the file holds a chart's open, high, low and close prices, not your trades. Chart tools such as TradingView export this. Export your trade or account history instead.
  • This file has no trades in it: the file has column names but no rows under them. Pick a longer date range when you export, or check that the account has closed trades.

Use the template#

Select Template next to the error to download quantprove-template.xlsx. Enter one trade per row with its date and result, save the file, and upload it.

Which files work#

  • CSV (also TSV and TXT): the export most platforms and journals offer.
  • Excel (XLSX or XLS): spreadsheets and broker statements.
  • HTML report: the MetaTrader report and many broker statements.
  • XML, JSON, ZIP, and PDF files with real text also work. A PDF works only when you can select its text.

Export from MetaTrader 4#

  1. Open the Terminal window and select the Account History tab.
  2. Right-click the list and select All History.
  3. Right-click again and select Save as Report.
  4. Upload the saved HTML file to Quantprove.

Export from MetaTrader 5#

  1. Open the Toolbox window and select the History tab.
  2. Right-click the list and choose the period you want.
  3. Right-click again, select Report, and then select HTML.
  4. Upload the saved HTML file to Quantprove.

Export from another platform#

  1. Open the trade history, account history, or statement page.
  2. Look for Export, Download, Report, or Statement.
  3. Choose CSV, Excel, or HTML when the platform asks for a format.
  4. Upload that file without editing it first.

Skip the file#

Connect your broker and Quantprove reads your trades directly, with no file to export. New trades then arrive on their own.
